Missed your start date?

If you’d like to start a service/gas certificate plan but have missed your starting month or several starting months we can still sign you up and keep your date intact. We simply invioce for the missed month/s at the monthly rate of your plan then you start your plan which will auto -renew at the start date. By signing up to our servce plan we guarantee that your prices wont be raised for a minimum period of 2 services. Beat the price hikes now.

Our service plans are designed to give you peace of mind while looking after the heating heart of your home. Boilers are often overlooked by most landlords and homeowners but heat exchanger scale reduces the effectiveness of your boiler by progressively lowering its efficiency. This happens when scale acts as an insulator causing heat retardation, disabling your boilers ability to effectively and efficiently heat the water it sends around your heating circuit. This is why we advise our clients that effective and thorough servicing of boilers plays a vital role for gas boilers, not only for the efficiency which can save you money, but also for the longevity of the appliance.

Our service plans can be combined with an annual landlords safety inspection allowing you to pay small amounts each month rather than a large bill at a given point. They are a really convenient way of budgeting for annual routine servicing as specified by manufacturers.

Why would you choose our service plan?

Simple, we effectively manage the due date of your gas certificate and/or annual service and contact you to arrange access to carry out the maintenance. This ensures that not only does your gas certificate remain valid, so does the manufacturers warranty should your boiler still have one.

We offer comprehensive servicing to help your boiler run as efficient as possible across its lifespan. Please be aware that some manufacturers require the heat exchanger gasket to be changed every time they are removed, if you are unsure you should contact us before selecting your service plan so you don’t end up with a material charge when we attend your service.

For unvented cylinder service, the service includes a check of the expansion vessel to enable the hot water to be effectively absorbed as it increases in volume, a check of the line strainer on the cold main inlet group and an electrical check of the resistance of the immersion elements. This allows us to check if the ohms resistance is within the correct tolerance. Where it isn’t we will advise them to be changed before any damage to the immersion may cause it to stop working correctly. Please be aware that readings can sometimes be fine right up to the point of failure. The price will also include a cold main inlet group should the exisiting be scaled beyond the point of effective cleaning. We will also check that the installatoin complies with G3 regulations and the correct function of the pressure controls and relief valves.

In our experience a lot of boiler breakdown could have been prevented with annual routine maintenance. It allows us to advise you of anything your boiler may need outside of the maintenance and can help prevent some other issues from stopping the appliance working correctly and safely before it happens, preventing your family/your tenants from unneccesary breakdowns.

The plans auto renew every 12 months and will lock you in at this years prices for next years service and/or gas certificate. If our prices go up we will cancel your plan at the end of the 12 month period and inform you that our terms have changed, advising you to renew should you wish to keep the plan.

Please ensure you select the correct plan for you postcode area as some areas may have a higher charge than others due to increased time/expense to get there. If youre unsure please call us to discuss the postcode tariff. Thhs charge is due to extended travel time, fuel usage and engine wear to the location

Your service plan subscription is handled by GoCardless and will appear on you bank statements as such with a reference of BearBuilding.
